Joe Crawford (aka
artlung) passed me the musical baton! So, here we go:
Total size of music files on my computer:
1.14 GB ... Not as much as a lot of other people, I'm sure. I don't download a lot of music, and have not converted CDs into mp3s. I just keep listening to CDs when I drive.
The last CD I bought was:
The newest Nine Inch Nails album. It's all right. I expected a little better. I have to be in the right mood to listen to it. I always considered myself a big NIN fan, but when I felt lackluster listening to the album I was like, "Does this suck, or have I just outgrown NIN?" Maybe a little bit of both? I listened to it on a different day and felt more receptive to it, so I think it does depend on my mood a bit. But, I'm sure my change in musical tastes since have certainly changed a lot in the past twelve years too! (Listened to Pretty Hate Machine a LOT when I was in middle school).
Song playing right now:
Nothing, actually. Lots of times I just like listening to the quiet sounds of the fans running while I'm at the computer. Most of my music listening time is while I'm driving.
Five songs I listen to a lot, or that mean a lot to me:
It is hard to pick just five! But I did it, and they are...
Belly - Feed the Tree ... Rockin', fast paced, cool girl voice, and awesome lyrics.
They Might Be Giants - Yeh Yeh ... This song just makes me feel happy inside.
Tom Waits - Warm Beer and Cold Women ... Very bluesy, and I have eternal love for Tom Waits's voice.
David Byrne - Everyone's in Love With You ... Awesome song!
Violent Femmes - I'm Free ... I love these lyrics, and again, love the voice. Violent Femmes and TMBG will always be top favorites for me.
Five people to whom I’m passing the baton:
I don't feel like singling people out right now, so I'll just say - ALL my LJ friends - jump on the bandwagon, people! You know you want to. ;)
